There are a lot of different models of teaching. Some basic ones are direct instruction, lectures, Online learning, Game-based learning, Collaborative learning, cooperative learning, inquiry-based learning, Multimedia learning, Competency-based learning, Problem-Based learning, seminar, and project-based learning. Teaching models are methods of teaching or underlying philosophies that guide teaching methods.

1. First Model is Direct Instruction

Direct Instruction refers to a teaching model in which students are taught by telling them information, or by lecturing. This type of teaching is used to teach facts and skills students already know, rather than giving children new knowledge.

The teacher provides some material to guide the learning of the student and usually leads the class. This model is used in a lot of high schools at the elementary level.

Teachers also provide independent practice for learning different objectives in the form of class activities and homework. In the end, the test is conducted to evaluate what the student has learned.
